Privacy notice

An all-electric GolfBoard

This privacy notice explains how GolfBoard Guys ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you contact us or use this website, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It was last reviewed in 2025.

Who we are

GolfBoard Guys is a sole-trading business based at 18 Southend Road, Gateshead, NE9 6XT, United Kingdom. For any privacy matter you can contact us by email at info@golfboardguys.com or by telephone on 07775 440 229. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What information we collect

When you complete our contact form or email or telephone us, we collect the details you choose to give us. This typically includes your name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message or enquiry. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information or any payment-card details through the website.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, to discuss available stock during our closing-down sale, to arrange any sale or delivery you ask us to, and to keep a record of our correspondence with you. Our lawful basis for this is our legitimate interest in answering and managing enquiries about our business, and, where you ask us to supply goods, the performance of a contract with you. We do not use your details for marketing unless you have specifically asked us to, and we never sell your data.

Who we share it with

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. We may share limited details with trusted service providers who help us run the business โ€” for example a courier to deliver a board you have purchased, or our email and hosting providers โ€” and only so far as is necessary for them to provide that service. Our hosting is provided in the United Kingdom. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you contact us again, after which it is deleted. Where you become a customer, we keep records relating to that sale for as long as we are legally required to for tax and accounting purposes.

Cookies and this website

This website uses only the cookies strictly necessary for it to function and does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The video films on our Videos page are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and the map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps; if you interact with those embedded services, they may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

Under data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

How we keep it secure

We take reasonable and appropriate steps to keep your personal information safe. Messages sent through this website are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to the enquiries we receive is limited to the two of us who run the business. We do not store payment-card details on the website, and any sale payment is handled separately and directly with you. While no method of transmission over the internet can ever be guaranteed completely secure, we will always act promptly and responsibly if a problem ever arises.

Children's privacy

This website and our products are aimed at adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their details, please contact us and we will delete the information.

Changes to this notice

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page. As the business is closing down, this notice will remain available for as long as the website is online.
